Upcycling is the art of re-vamping unwanted garments and transforming them into exciting, creative, new attire... Under the expert tutelage of Carys Hedd from Wenchwear, you will be guided to chop, mix and create brand new wonderful garments with confidence. Carys is wonderfully warm, very experienced teacher and really guides you to experiment and create with spontaneity.
Do you have a lovely jacket in your wardrobe you hardly ever wear?
Do you fancy turning it into a one off stunning “wastecoat” and learning some up-cycling tricks as you go?
Simply bring your jacket and the willingness to chop it up, a little matching trim, if you have any, and a sense of exploration into endless possibility… By removing the jacket’s arms and giving a little snip and tuck here and there, you'll transform your jacket into brand new, delicious, wearable waistcoat.
This chop-shop is perfect for men and women from complete beginners to more experienced creators. Carys will encourage you to explore your skills and enhance your willingness to give it a go....
